Last Rose Standing...

As much a test as a flower for Friday... this was taken with an absurdly long reach lens far closer than I would have thought possible! Just to see if it would manage... I think I was less than (twice*) eighteen inches away. Just about as close as the auto-focus would let me.

It's a damp Friday, and all the country field walks have gone  back to being impassably boggy. I notice with some concern that a number of the Public Rights of Way that run around the parish are blocked by such handy barriers as electric fences... 

As we find ourselves for all intents and purposes under house arrest, the available trails and paths for exercise walks become ever more important to retain. I guess we need to remind landowners of land with PROWs running over them that continued access is a legal right.
