A Winter's Day

It has never really got light today with low clouds hanging all around the valley with sporadic sleet and snow showers. It has also felt very cold. We had to builders bags of logs delivered, so I have spent a couple hours wheelbarrowing them from the front of the house and stacking them in the log store. Also a trip to the post office to post a package to Sam and get some eggs and fruit. The rest of the day on some more admin and household chores.
The news from the USA continues to be surprising and yet strangely predictable. Can Trump really get away with inciting a riot and then turning on the people who he inflamed? I always thought that a core principal of justice is that everyone is equal in the eyes of the law. Trump could undermine both the democratic system in the US and the justice system.
