Friday from one... / Freitag ab Eins...

Work seems to start earlier in Germany than the UK - Flo has to be in school by 7.45, so I can then whizz on my bike to be in the office around 8.

The good news is - at least in some parts of the old East Germany - work also tends to finish early on a Friday, and from around 1 people start heading off to do their own thing: „Freitag ab Eins, macht jeder Seins“.

So this  gave me time to, er, go on an extra trip to Edeka (that’s yellow supermarket sign, between the new house and the old warehouse).
