Morecambe Bay
Arguably, this is a bad time of year to learn to drive; it gets dark early and the weather is prone to being pants. On the other hand, imagine learning in the summer and then being ambushed by the horrors of winter.
I'm being judicious in the driving conditions that I expose Dan to, but we've done plenty of driving after dark now and also some driving in the rain, but I was a little wary today as there was some slush on the roads.
In the end, though, he did really well; he has a commendable sense of caution. At one point he was driving us up a little lane out of Warton, which had a bit more slush on the road than I'd have liked, but Dan was fine and I was relaxed enough to look out of the window and see this wonderful view over Morecambe Bay.
