Fire away!

Last year's fires were really intense on the site where this blip is taken. But now! The Isopogon (Drumsticks bush) still retains its burnt cones, but at its feet you can see its divided leaves, bursting to rise and flourish. And that speck of bright blue? A Lobelia dentata, using the enriched soil to support itself, and shining even though (at the moment) it's all on its own.
