As museums are shut, I enter just about every antique shop if I venture to town. Interesting stories they can tell.
This carpet is a turn of the century Iranian copy of a French tapestry ordered by a KuK banker for his flat. Knowing the history of Budapest, it's a miracke that it has survived and is not hanging somewhere in Germany/Russia/US/UK.
