At Motueka beach, NZ.

After an active morning at home we made our way to the local beach for the grandchildren to swim in the seawater in this old but very popular swimming pool. 

Wooden decking gives access from the reserve area to the pool regardless of the tidal conditions. Bench seats are provided and viewing of the swimmers is also possible over the safety rails - that’s where I was standing to take this photo.

Extra photos show some of the decking, the grandchildren and my daughter, and a view looking at the pool from below with the incoming tide very quickly covering the mudflats.
