Getting friendly

Such a dull day on my stroll. Not very inspiring skies, no sunshine, no clouds, just dull.

Plenty of bird activity but not close enough to get a great shot, so apologies it's not all that crisp.

These Great Crested Grebes were making all the right moves to get acquainted. I'm not sure if grebes mate for life or if this was their first encounter?

They were making plenty of ripples on the lake, which made up for the lack of colour.
