Meal Monitor
Because we are both overweight and I also have cancer and a heart problem, I have decided to be stricter about the protein content of our main meals for the sake of our health. Principally to cut right down on red meat and increase fish.
I have put this little chart on our notice board and am using magnetic dots to indicate the type of protein we are eating for our main meal of the day.
Blue = fish (twice a week)
Red = red meat (once only)
White = white meat (once only)
Yellowy green/green - vegan (two or three times a week)
Yellow = veggie meal with egg or cheese (once a week max)
The dots add up to eight - but it allows for a bit of choice at the end of the week.
