River Settlement
Today has been a little warmer but with that it's been a very dull and dreary day. Without a hint of Iight, I didn't feel inclined to go out so I did my exercise indoors on the rowing machine. My blip today was taken across the river from the garden.
I don't know anything about these chalets, I believe the foreshore is the property of the Duchy of Cornwall. On our side of the river, chalets were built in the late 19th century and gave railway workers and their families the chance to have a holiday or recuperate from illness. They were also used during WW1 by soldiers recovering from wounds. I think they're all privately owned now.
