The thin ice of modern life

The ice is very late, still not in everywhere. Even the "thin ice" warning is optimistic. 15 miles down the lake is a February contest/community builder called Skate The Lake. I worry for those organizers this year, but it may be one of Covid's casual cruelties no matter the state of the ice.
