Robin Repose

I have tried in vain in recent weeks to capture a Robin, I went out this morning for the spring lambs but....

It was a stunning morning, the sun was beautiful and I wandered happily, I could hear what I thought was a buzzard but as I came out of the cutting I saw a kite spiraling upward on the thermals. He was too far away to get any usable picture but he was then joined by a female and they climbed on the thermals I dared not hope that they would be courting and would lock talons but to my amazement they came together and tumbled about 200 feet before breaking away it was awe inspiring.

I gave up on the lambs when, sitting on the rocks I heard this little guy who proceeded to try and put on his own show as if to try and outdo the Kites, I could not resist him and this was him puffing up show off t his finest...Happy Days
