Birds on a grey day

The weather is horrible here - dull, grey and very cloudy. I decided to brave the windy cold conditions and went off to the reservoir - boy, was it cold. I had a short walk and took a few photos but the light was so bad it was hard to choose one to blip. I ended up choosing this one because it has a few things to look at. It is not the best photo I have ever taken but it is the best of a bad bunch.
I heard today that my Dad should hopefully be discharged from hospital tomorrow or Wednesday, into a nursing home close to Mum. He has now been in hospital (on and off) for over six months. When he went in last time (just after Christmas) it was supposed to be just for an X-ray but they just kept doing tests and finding little things that needed 'correcting'. He has hated being in hospital and in the last month he has just been a 'bed blocker' - the hospital were willing to discharge him but Social Services couldn't get their act together - talk about the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing, they have been useless! It has been extremely stressful for all the family and I just hope they have finally sorted themselves out, although I won't hold my breath until it has actually happened.
