Friday Sunset
BB wasn’t very happy last night, I’m not sure what was up with him. I was tired, and every time I was about to head upstairs to bed, he came downstairs to see me. Every time I expected him to tell me something – whatever was on his mind - he didn’t. Eventually he went to bed and stayed there, and when he appeared this morning he said he did get to sleep eventually. I’m still none the wiser! As a result of a busy couple of days and then a later night than I expected, I didn’t wake up very early today. I was aware of TT getting up, but I must have fallen asleep again.
It was a lovely morning, with another covering of snow, which looked icy and lethal. I needed to go to the post office, but pottered and did chores, before eventually braving it. I know that once I get to the main road into town it will be ok as it is almost always gritted and even cleared sometimes, but getting from our house to that point, which is really not very far can be treacherous as it is always very icy. I made it down town and back just in time for lunch. I then dragged BB out for a walk – which turned out far more treacherous than we thought it would – so much ice. Anyway, we survived that too and were both glad to get back in one piece. I think the lack of gritting and sub-zero temperatures, may be a ploy to make everyone stay at home!!
BB watched the first Lord of the Rings movie and I made tea. Later TT had a whisky-fuelled Zoom call and I watched The Crown.
Another day and yet another sunset.
