I know, I know, In the movies, he says it the other way around, But in Fleming's books, it's stirred, not shaken. So as not to bruise the alcohol.

I was watching Mr Craig in SkyFall.

I was musing on how you could bruise alcohol?

Didn't take me long to alight upon the brilliant idea of a couple of practical experiments. (Hic).

I can safely and cheerfully report that if alcohol can actually be bruised, then I can't taste any difference.

Alas - I fear many olives were, indeed, harmed in these experiments. God bless their little green souls.
