Hardly Dare
Posting this in 2021, I cannot for the life of me remember the occasion nor who the motorbike belonged to. For a while I thought it was my cousin from Germany on a visit he made, but I can see a UK tax disc holder at the front of the engine.
Having to guess the exact day but haircut and clothing should make it pretty accurate.
I never liked motorbikes and never had any desire to own or ride one. The first attempt at been in the massive gardens of a school friend at New Alresford in Hampshire around 1970 on mopeds and I had managed to hit the ground on that. Around 1975, a flat mate in London persuaded me to take a 1-mile pillion ride on his huge BMW bike along the Thames at Chiswick after another pub crawl day! That ought to have ended it, but risked it just once more in 1991on the Greek island of Kos, renting a moped for 2 weeks holiday as the good, isolated beaches were quite a way from the hotel on the edge of Kos Town. A car would have been over the top on the small island. Luckily no accidents, quite common on the sandy corners of many such islands roads.
