January Girls.

The January Girls - well all our Birthdays are....you guessed it!   Because it's such a s**t time of year for parties we usually have a champagne breakfast get-together and we're not just talking a couple of poached eggs - usually lasting until mid afternoon when partners/husbands etc. collect those still standing.  Much WhatsApp talk about what to do this year - settled on a beach party.  Only two braved the sea - it was J's birthday today, seen here.  I settled for being official photographer - not silly!  Talk of serving champagne was abandoned after hearing about the two girls in Derby who drove 5 miles to meet for a walk, chat and have a coffee and were fined £200 each.  As it was high tide at 09.30 there were quite a few people going in for swims and drying off after and so the little beach was quite busy  but being observed by volunteers for any sign of organised picnics etc.  We did not attract any attention, kept our distances and enjoyed our brief time together safely.
Meanwhile the rest of the Thames Estuary got on with fishing and paddle boarding - see extra.
