Pink ivy

Lockdown 3
We went on an excessively muddy walk round the village. Muddy even by current standards,
I walked around by the river to rinse my boots. Muddy banks, cold river, slippery wellies. What could possibly go wrong? Luckily nothing did and I stayed dry, until LooseCanon soaked me hosing the rest of the mud off my wellies. Next time I’ll take them off first. Anyway it was exceptionally grey and lacking in colour today but I found some ivy leaves, newly hatched I think , pink  at first before they go green. And that was probably the most colourful thing I saw today.
