The sublime forest / Der erhabene Wald

I’m listening again the fascinating ‘Germany: Memories of a Nation’. Today’s episode was about woodland - which astonishingly covers one third of this country.

Today we were at Eldena, near the site of some of his most famous paintings. A walk in the woods is one of our few remaining activities just now, so we are very grateful to live so near. Little Nelly is clearly on the side of the sublime!
