Let battle commence

The gang gathered late this afternoon for a game of chess.There was no need to socially distance as they don't breath the same air as we do.

Our family bought this chess set for N's Dad's 80th birthday back in 2001. After he, and later N's Mum, died the set was passed on to us just a few months ago so we have taken to having a game of chess most evenings. Although I have not yet beaten N, I do enjoy the challenge. However, I wonder if I will ever win as I always play the Scottish side and Nick the English side in this modern-day Battle of Culloden.
