Graves
I find graves fascinating and thought provoking. A harsh reminder of the inescapable law of entropy. I wonder who put the wreath on such an old grave. According to the noticeboard at the entrance, the graveyard is purposefully managed as a conservation project to keep it overgrown enough for nature to enjoy yet trimmed enough for people to access.
These were in St Peters Church graveyard on the Avenue nearby. The church is long gone. The Avenue used to be the road through the little hamlet of Bishopton but is now lined with new very big houses. There are a still a few old houses along there and this graveyard to remind you what it once was.
It is a private road with remote operated bollards at one end which means there are barely any cars so it is great to take Arthur there for a walk because he can't get into any trouble! He wants to run up all the private drives so there were a few tantrums along the way.
