Sad News

This photo was taken in about 2012. My college friends, a group of 5 students who trained, taught, retired from teaching but continued to share our lives. We met regularly and always enjoyed each other's company. Sadly over the past few years we have lost Asa (far left) and Sam (second right).

I heard last night that my friend Edith (standing in the middle) died on Friday evening. She had been suffering from dementia since 2013 and in a care home for the past 2 years. She had not been unwell or expected to die but passed away peacefully.

So now there's only Frances and me (both wearing black tops) left. A sad day.
