Chained up

The thaw set in overnight with slides of snow plummeting from the roof. Today much of the snow is gone, but where there has been traffic there is now sheet ice covered with a film of melt water. Very slippy.

Angus to go to train aikido with a friend. I checked my collection of snow chains - amassed over twenty years of living at the top of a steep farm track. There was a set that fitted the Jimny. Ten minutes later, he’s off, car hold firm on the steep skating rink.

Moral of the story - some things are worth keeping even if you don’t *currently* have a use for them.
