Prayer Plant
This is a maranta that I've had for about 20 years. I've had it since I chose it for that cabinet-making Mate of mine to out on a coffee table at a Holker Hall craft event. It made the furniture look a bit more homely having a plant on it.
It's called a prayer plant because its leave stand upright at night like closed hands. Although it's a house plant, it dies back a lot in the autumn but you can see a new leaf unfurling at the front of the pot.
A very quiet day of doing not very much. The snow had gone so I ventured out in the car this morning to deliver some needed groceries. Delivery slots have got sparse again at the supermarkets but I had enough to spare.
