High surf advisory (coinciding with king tide) along the coast from Big Sur and up to north of Point Reyes.  You know the surf is high when you can see it over a block away from where you park the car.  Gave Half Moon Bay a wide berth, wasn't sure what the conditions for surfing would be and didn't want to deal with the crowds.

My eyebrows and hair are stiff with salt. 

Local flooding along the coast.  Pacifica Pier closed for fairly obvious reasons. 

Warm, and a few clouds, a beautiful day.  It was good seeing people so delighted with the power of mother nature, lots of fun conversations through ocean spray and masks.  A good soaking, some coffee, some lemon poppy seed cake from the ChitChat Cafe which is still operating.

Hubby is making chicken pot pie for supper.
