Good evening

Our friends stopped for the night on their way back from visiting family. We have a stand-alone studio in our basement, with no shared air ducts, but full "living" accommodations like bathroom, kitchenette, etc. Our friends stayed there for the night. We didn't share a meal, they did not come into the main space. Essentially, we were their air b and b. :-)

This fire was the closest we got to one another.

Even so, having friends to talk to was so remarkably pleasant.
