Family memories

First of all the photo wasn’t taken on Sunday, I didn’t take any on Sunday so this is from the day before.
My dad had always lived in a private property, but for the last few years of his life he lived in a council bungalow and he loved it. It wasn’t big, one bedroom, living room, kitchen and shower room, but it was all he needed. Outside he had a front and back garden which he was able to take advantage of when the weather was warmer. But because his home was a council property it means it has to be cleared and the keys handed back, as you can imagine this is quite an emotional thing to do, packing up his possessions, family members taking things if they want it. This was the case today, his fridge freezer, washing machine and some bedroom furniture was picked up by his grandson, his living room tv collected by my brother for my dads grandson, it seems quite heartless but it’s what my dad would have wanted, he’d want his possessions to be used by family members if they wanted them and it’s far better than throwing things away. It is difficult to see my dads home broken up though, it’s the last place most of us saw him alive and relatively healthy, it will be difficult to hand the keys back.
