brambleblossom

A quiet , wet,  cold , gloomy day with little going on .
We have spent much of the day awaiting the arrival of the plumber !
When last tracked down he was in Manchester, he sounds like a man in demand and I don’t expect he will make an appearance tonight .

The photo was taken for its cheerful demeanour, in particular the jolly red doors . Normally it’s a place that serves delicious ice cream and excellent coffee . I hope it gets to open its doors again soon although I think that
the last lockdown finished it off . I’m sure someone will choose to take it on as in normal times it’s a busy, thriving place .
In more cheerful news , I have just had an hour chatting with my dad on a video call who despite being bored and fed up seems to have been much more himself recently. He hasn’t been eating his usual meals and I’ve noticed before that there seems to be a correlation between his carb intake and his cognition. There has been research done about the link between Alzheimer’s and sugar levels and a suggestion that it could be a form of type 3 diabetes . It’s certainly made me reconsider my sugar intake .
It was a good call, for which I am most grateful .
