Edith’s owl

This carving was put up in memory of Edith Holden (Country diary of an Edwardian Lady) who lived in this road when she wrote the diary. There is a similar carving not far away which was stolen within hours so this owl has to be protected by a huge cage. It spoils the view from a distance but if you get up close you can see it fine.

Suffering from a bit of a vaccine reaction today. No pain no gain, but it would have been nice to have slept and not to be running a bit of a temperature today! Hopefully will have gone by tomorrow.
