Four Poodles And A Puddle
I decided to take Ollie dog for her exercise at Fishers Green, which is only about four miles from where we live. We walked in an area where few others go. I spotted a couple in the distance and as we got closer I could see that they had four poodles. She had two in her arms and he one. I put Ollie on the lead as we approached. The woman said that they walk their dogs here because they seldom meet anyone and that their poodles are stupid and go mad in the company of other dogs.
Actually poodles aren't stupid, they are the second most intelligent dog breed just behind the border collie. This duck-hunting breed originated in Germany. The name poodle comes from the German pudel which is derived from the low German word meaning to splash in water cognate with our word puddle.
