Escaping the rain

None forecast but it tipped it down most of the night. There is something special about being able to turn over and go back to sleep to the sound of rain but being a Monday morning that pleasure had to be skipped.

The chap on the radio described it as filthy weather as a thick mist hung heavily everywhere.

We finished the day by asking everyone to work from home, especially the few people still making use of public transport. Seems the most sensible thing to do given the current numbers that seem to be continually rising, especially as folk return from holiday. Hopefully some common sense and extra precautions will see us all come through this wave unscathed.

It had faired by the time I got home so we headed off with wee Shivs for a wander. She is clearly feeling better as our wander ended up a good bit longer than has become the norm as she decided to visit as many trees as possible for the latest doggie gossip.
