a walk

We got out today before the rain came. Back up to NT Kedleston Hall and it was very quiet, perhaps the message of stay local has got through. The trust parkland provides some nice varied walks and many are mud free which is a real bonus. The long walk through the woods comes back along the river where we saw 4 herons, a little egret and plenty of gooseanders, oh yes and a woodpecker drumming in the woods. I thought the sign post in extra was appropriate for the time.
