unexpected macro

Yesterday, the extension tube I ordered for my camera (after falling in love with the one I had borrowed) arrived. So last night I tried it out to make sure it worked properly. Then this afternoon, I grabbed my camera for a walk with Laney, fully expecting to shoot a bird against our beautiful Colorado blue sky. But my camera wouldn't focus properly! Then I remembered that I still had the extension tube on, and the autofocus turned off. Problem solved, I took a macro of some very tiny seed heads.
