Today's photo is a clue/teaser as to the projects I'm thinking and hoping to do after 365 ends later this week.

I've really come to appreciate old vintage cameras as part of this process, and my fascination with photography is now expanding to the analogue...as it tends to with a lot of photographers I've noticed.

Today's picture is my dad's Yashica Electro 35 GSN. A hugely popular 35mm consumer camera in the 60's and 70's. There are several reasons why I love this camera, but the main points are: it's build quality, solid metal, certainly no plastics here! Secondly, it's an aperture-priority camera which is the mode I use 90% of the time on my current dSLR, what genius. And last of all, the incredibly fast (f/1.7) and sharp lens - not bad for a circa. 35-year old camera! :)

Incredibly, the Yashica brand still exists today.
