Dreghorn Woods

The day began frosty and the walk through Dreghorn Woods was a walk of two halves - the shaded (northern) side of the Braid Burn path still cold, moss on walls and ground-cover plants frozen, and the return on the Southern side in sunshine.

In between, mainly to avoid a noisy and slow-moving family, we took this cut-through, which still maintained the recent snow. now crisp underfoot. These raindrops were frozen on the pine needles.

Having returned to the car we noted the water running down the pavement and crossing the road further down, which, if frozen would be hazardous to cyclists, if not motorised traffic. In case it had not been reported we took a what3words reading of the source and Mr Flum duly sent the appropriate message to Scottish Water.
