Scots Pine

This magnificent tree is just behind our garden wall. I love the way the bark catches and reflects the light from the setting sun, but it always seems a bit out of place in the suburbs. It ought to be on a hill somewhere in the Highlands, where it would not suffer the indignity of being decorated by tattered plastic bags!
