All is Quiet on the Home Front

The town seemed emptier of late this morning as I set out for my pre coffee route march round the city centre. So quiet was it on the High Street that I could stand in the middle of the road outside the City Chambers unmolested by traffic and blip the view right down the Royal Mile to the sea and beyond.

It was a damp gloomy morning with a ray of sunshine in the shape of David and Luca who took a break from home working over lunch time and came to the patio to drink their take away coffees and chat.

With the weather forecast of imminent rain, I did a quick recce of the Meadows after lunch and just got back in time to avoid a soaking.

Isn’t it amazing how one can achieve nothing and manage to fit it all into a day?
