Infrastructure

Last night I read the news that COVID-19 patients in England are to be moved to hotels to make room for more.  A decade of cut backs have left our infrastructure not unlike this beaten-up, old feed ring in a dreary, wet field.  The photo is dark and grim, like the thoughts that produced it.

Apologies for the grimness of this entry, but if this is to be a journal attempting to portray my days I cannot ignore the lows.  I considered changing it for something more cheerful, but shortly after posting it I read that the UK had passed 100,000 dead. A milestone that cannot go unmourned.
