Frosty Turbines
I might have related this story before, but the farmer on whose land these turbines were installed was (apparently) seriously ostracised by his neighbours, so cross were they about their arrival. It's true that the turbines rather dominate the village of Graveley. We discussed this while planning the Gamlingay Community Turbine, but I like to think that we got the community onside before ours arrived – except for the rather paranoid local airfield owner who threatened the locals with "the blood of pilots in the fields around".
I replied that if pilots were getting close to the blades of a 33m turbine they had more to worry about with the proximity of the ground rather than the turbine.
