Day 296 The Zoom meeting

Today was the very first of Violet's Zoom meetings with the rest of her class, arranged by her class teacher , the lovely Miss G.  I'm not going to apologise as I usually do when I put up  a collage and frankly it was hard to stick to only five shots! Obviously these boys and girls have not seen each other since they broke up for Christmas and watching as she and her classmates greeted each other during the first 5 minutes when they were all unmuted, to say Hi was emotional.  Daughter #1 and I were misty eyed to put it mildly.  Each child got the chance to speak, saying what their favourite present at Christmas had been,  Lost first teeth were remarked upon ( we think Violet might be the class winner with 5 now gone) and they sang Happy Birthday to one little boy.  The Zoom meetings are planned to be weekly from now on, until the schools reopen.  If there is a silver lining in all of this, it's that we will all become expert at attending Zoom meetings!
