Illegal Parking

You don't want to park your car illegally here in Zihuatanejo. Not only will you get a ticket from the local transito policia, but they will also take your license plate (this one was on the wrong side of a crosswalk, too close to the intersection). I think this is to ensure you will pay the fine. I do, however, see a great many vehicles driving around without any type of license plate so I'm not sure it always works.
