Esk Trading Post
This is one of those country town general stores with a vast but slow moving inventory.
There’s a nice story about one of the pubs. There was a major flooding event after Sandy Creek broke its banks in the 1893 flood. The publican decided to move the pub up the street to higher ground. They fabricated hardwood axels and cut some rounds of an Ironbark tree to serve as wheels. The pub was then dragged up the street by two bullock teams to its present location.
(Esk was a logging town back then and bullock teams were regularly used for heavy haulage.)
