Snow!

For once, plenty of snow - unusual for us, these days.

It started gently this morning, then picked up speed. Soon there were large, fluffy flakes coming down, and our local roads - all very hilly - were soon impassable. Cars, buses and vans started to get stuck, which routinely happens in Sheffield when it snows. One of the extras has a marooned bus in it.  It's not that the snow was particularly deep, but it quickly got compacted and treacherous on sloping surfaces.

I couldn't wait to get out in it, with an umbrella to keep the worst of it off my totally non-weatherproof camera.  I find the best system is to keep the camera tucked inside my coat, rather than trying to get it in and out of its waterproof case.

Tomorrow is forecast to bring freezing temperatures again.
