Holy vaccines!
Day off work today, so inevitably it has rained from start to finish.
First order of business this morning was a trip to the dentist to have a filling replaced which I was dreading on account of my deep seated fear of dentists. Pleased to say that apart from the post procedural drooling the whole thing was utterly painless.
Not content with a couple of jabs of the numbing stuff I ventured out this afternoon for my first ever flu shot - yes I'm now in the age group where it's recommended. Once again the whole experience was pain free.
I found out that the church next door to my GP's practice will be operating as a covid vaccination centre from this Saturday. Keen eyed blippers will notice that this is the self same church which appeared in the background of a rather dull shot some days ago. This shot is of course equally dull but at least it has context. I just wonder if the scaffolding has been erected to allow the installation of a 5G phone mast - wouldn't that be ironic?
My mood has also been lifted by last night's performance by Fulham against Spurs and today's exploits by the England cricket team in Sri Lanka.
