Quilt sandwich

Quilt top layered and being tacked prior to quilting. I've just found in one corner I have an inch or so not covered by the backing. Grinding of teeth but I'm not undoing a whole afternoon of tacking. I could solve the problem by facing the quilt but will probably add an extra piece and bind - I think the quilt needs an edge.
