Bits and pieces

The low sun on the spinach remains in the compost bin caught my eye. The spinach, though still gritty after two washes, was a delight, exceptionally sweet and clearly from somewhere south of us.

A day of things breaking down: the Clio wouldn’t start but eventually sorted with jump leads; the pellet boiler wheezed out because I’d reseated the burner tray wrong; two trips to Bibbiena because Vodafone have Brexited us for our our roaming usage. But the central heating in the barn heated up and I’ve now got an Italian mobile phone. I bought twenty bags of pellets from the Agricola stores on a wholesale basis and there is wine in the house.
