Parallel Universe

Today, we met up with friend Shabnam and her son (whose house we were in for dinner last night) to help check out a DSLR camera that her son needs for his last Uni module. The seller "lives" in the Sofitel on The Palm and we were there long enough for him to tell us the pros of living in a hotel rather than having his own apartment.

The hotel itself is a grand resort and the pictures here show the little we had time to photograph once the deal was done. Our friend's son is now the proud owner of a Canon with a camera bag and lightbox thrown in. It will be great to see how he gets on.

The rest of the day has been spent at home. We got to hear/watch a sermon on YouTube by the new pastor who the church hope to employ. He looks so much like Prince William, it's almost distracting! He's an excellent communicator though, and I think his church will be very sad to lose him.
