Old age show-off

This Banksia could well be 30 years old or even 50, if it was planted early in the Blackheath Rhododendron Society days. At any rate, it aint no spring chicken. But it happily flaunts its aged, twisted, contorted limbs with the confidence of a catwalk model, thereby promoting an unconventional view of 'beauty'. Mmmm. Could be a message in that...
