Yellow Gorse

I took advantage of the first day with a hint of blue skies and sunshine in a while to walk up onto the ranges.

There is always a chance of a glimpse of the herd of deer which roam the ranges, ignoring the public signs of "No entry ... risk of unexploded ordinance".  However, as is normally the case,  there wasn't a sign of them today.

It didn't matter, as my main objective was for something for BikerBear's Flower Friday Challenge, which at this time of the year is a real challenge in Winter in the UK. The snowdrops I have been keeping an eye on are still obstinately budless, but there was plenty of yellow gorse up on the ranges glowing in the weak winter sun,  So that is my entry for today.
