Escape
Having been very wet and windy when a friend took Django up into the Pentlands in the morning, the weather was showing signs of clearing a little around lunchtime, so I headed out into the Estate. The underfoot conditions were generally wet ice, slippery wet snow or mud, so I was thankful for some sunshine.
This is an appealing view that I've photographed many times and been disappointed with the results, but today the light was right. I think that it's made by the snow on the field beyond the first line of trees, and the light on the second line of trees.
